Switch-Mode Power Supplies Spice Simulations and Practical Designs by Christophe Basso released by McGraw-Hill on January 15th 2008

Christophe Basso has release a new book covering SMPS design using SPICE. We are honored that Christophe has decided to include models for B2 Spice v5.

For those who design switch mode power supplies, or would like to do so, the books currently available on the market are either too academical, without links to the market reality or too practical, without firm theoretical foundation. "Switch Mode Power Supplies: SPICE Simulations and Practical Designs" by Christophe Basso, bridges both worlds by
offering a theoretical study of power conversion in the dc-dc and ac-dc fields via a systematic equation-based approach. Author bio:

Christophe Basso works as an Application Manager at ON Semiconductor in Toulouse, France. His field of expertise includes switch-mode power supplies in both the acdc and dc-dc areas. He has been at the origin of numerous pulse width modulator controllers, among which, the NCP120X series has set new standards in standby power for offline power supplies. SPICE simulations are also a strong part of his knowledge and he has already authored a book in 2001, "Switch-Mode Power Supply SPICE Cookbook" published by McGraw-Hill.
