B2 Spice v5 Versions

Working with Eagle PCB

Note about which eagle versions that B2 Spice works with.

One of B2 Spice v.5's more powerful features is the close integration we have with CADSoft's Eagle PCB. In these pages we will show you what capabilities are available and how to use them.

How to import an existing Eagle Schematic into Workshop*

How to build a schematic in Eagle and export it to B2 Spice A/D v4 for simulation*

How to export a circuit back to Eagle Schematics*

How to export a Workshop circuit to Eagle PCB*

See a chart that we compiled showing the abilities of various PCB programs and why we decided to work with Eagle. (MS Excel file)

* This all assumes that all the neccessary custom Eagle libraries and ULP have already been placed in the correct directories. The custom libraries and ULP should be in a "bb_lbr_ulp.zip" file in the B2 Spice directory. Unzip all the *.lbr files to Eagle's "libraries" directoy and unzip the *.ulp file into Eagle's "ULP" directory.

*B2 Spice v.5 works with Eagle 4.0 and 4.1. We have specific ULPs that will work with each version. Our software goes out with the latest ULP but if you have Eagle 4.0, you can get the 4.0 ULP in our tech support page.

We do not recommend using Eagle 3.5 with B2 Spice A/D v4. Our program was designed with Eagle 4.0 and we cannot guarantee compatibility with Eagle 3.5.
