WARNING
- any custom parts that have been
added by the user will be lost. To
move parts to the new database, use
the Database Editor to create a patch
file with your custom parts, then
apply that patch to the new database.

BSIM
patch (170K) - this
patch fixes a problem with BSIM3,
BSIM4 and BSIM SOI models that cause
the program to not know if the device
is a NMOS or PMOS type.
Save the file, run the Database Editor
program, and go to the SPECIAL->APPLY
PATCH TO DATABASE command. When
the program prompts you in case of
an existing item, click "YES
TO ALL".
Schmitt
Trigger Devices(73K)
- this patch will add the Schmitt
trigger devices that were added in
the v5.1.3 database.
Save the file, run the Database Editor
program, and go to the SPECIAL->APPLY

v4.1.2. This will update all the
symbols in the database to have separate reference
and name fields.
PROFESSIONAL
and STANDARD versions
Download
database patch (400K Zip file)
Instructions:
Unzip the patch file. Run the Database Editor
and go to the "Special->Apply Patch to
Database..." menu. When prompted for
a file, select the patch file that you downloaded
and unzipped. It might warn you that there
a merge conflict and ask what you want to replace
the existing symbol. If so, click on "Yes
to All". During the update operation,
the program might appear to lock up or not be
doing anything. This is normal.
Depending on the speed of your computer, it might
take well over 5 minutes to complete the operation.
DO NOT INTERRUPT THE PROGRAM. When
the update is complete, it will pop up a dialog
box telling you that merge conflicts will be written
to a file in the working directory, which is completely
normal and should be ignored. At that time,
you are done.
