DC Sweeps
With one set of parameters specified, this spice simulation generates a dc transfer curve with capacitors open and inductors shorted. B2 Spice A/D v4 actually expands on the standard spice implementation. Standard spice allows the sweeping of one or two source’s dc values. B2 Spice A/D v4 allows the user the sweep parameter to be temperature, or any device parameter, or any device’s model parameter. When both sets of parameters are used, SPICE performs a dual sweep in which the first parameter is swept over its range for each value of the second parameter. The dual sweep can be useful for obtaining transistor characteristics.
